Το The PhotoPhore, υπερήφανος συνεργάτης του ADAF 2018, ανοίγει το Ανοιχτό Κάλεσμα για καλλιτέχνες, TECH BREAK. Αναζητούμε έργα video art, μικρού μήκους ταινίες, digital και animation, που θα συμπεριληφθούν στην επίσημη επιλογή μας για το 14ο Διεθνές Φεστιβάλ Ψηφιακών Τεχνών της Ελλάδας- ADAF 2018. Η προβολή θα είναι μέρος του φεστιβάλ που θα πραγματοποιηθεί τον Μάιο του 2018 ,στην Αθήνα .

Το 14ο Athens Digital Arts Festival διερευνά το άγνωστο μέλλον της επικείμενης Τεχνολογικής Αποκάλυψης μέσω της τέχνης, της επιστήμης και της τεχνολογίας, με θέμα SINGULARITY NOW.
Η επιλογή του PhotoPhore θα επικεντρωθεί στη σχετική έννοια του TECH BREAK.
TECH BREAK: Μια μέρα θα συμβεί το Tech Break. Ένα σημείο θραύσης με τη ζωή και την κοινωνία όπως γνωρίζουμε σήμερα. Ένα σημείο θραύσης με την τρέχουσα τεχνολογία.
Το Tech Break αποτελεί το singularity στη διαδικασία εξέλιξης του ανθρώπινου είδους. Είναι το σημείο στο οποίο συμβαίνει κάτι διαφορετικό και απροσδόκητο και αλλάζει τη σειρά των πραγμάτων.
Πρόκειται άραγε να δημιουργηθεί μια ανώτερη τεχνητή νοημοσύνη, που θα ξεπερνά τον άνθρωπο; Αυτή η νοημοσύνη θα είναι αυτόνομη και θα αναπτυχθεί χωρίς τον άνθρωπο; Θα δημιουργήσουμε έναν νέο οργανισμό που θα μπορεί να ελέγξει το σύμπαν;
Ή μήπως το Tech Break είναι η στιγμή που το Σύμπαν απορρίπτει την ανθρώπινη τεχνολογία και μας φέρνει πίσω σε μια νέα εποχή του λίθου;
Θα είναι μια στιγμή ξαφνικής και ανεξέλεγκτης ανάπτυξης ή το σημείο θραύσης με έναν μη βιώσιμο τρόπο για τον άνθρωπο;
Θα χρειαστεί να κάνουμε ένα διάλειμμα μετά το Tech Break;
Μέσα από την Τέχνη μπορούμε να προτείνουμε ένα νέο σενάριο, πέρα από αυτό που ζούμε σήμερα.
Νέος κόσμος, νέοι τρόποι ζωής, νέες σχέσεις μεταξύ των ατόμων και μεταξύ ανθρώπου και τεχνολογίας.
Ζητάμε από τους καλλιτέχνες να μας παρουσιάσουν τα οράματά τους για το Tech Break, να μας παρουσιάσουν τις απόψεις τους σχετικά με το απροσδόκητο μέλλον που μας περιμένει μετά από το Tech Break καθώς και για τις αλλαγές στην τεχνολογική ανάπτυξη, στην εξέλιξη της επιστήμης, στις ανθρώπινες σχέσεις.

The PhotoPhore, proud partner of ADAF 2018, opens its call for artists TECH BREAK. We are searching for video-art works, short movies, digital and animation films, to include in our official selection for the 14th Athens Digital Arts Festival – ADAF 2018. The screening will be part of the festival programmed from May 2018 in Athens, Greece.

The 14th Athens Digital Arts Festival exploring the unknown future of the upcoming Technological Apocalypse through art, science and technology, under the theme SINGULARITY NOW.
The PhotoPhore’s selection will be focused on the related concept of TECH BREAK.
TECH BREAK: One day there will be a Tech Break. A breaking point with the life and society as we know today. A breaking point with the current technology.
The Tech Break is a singularity in the evolution process of human kind. It’s the point in which something different and unexpected happens and changes the order of things.
Will a superior artificial intelligence, that surpasses the man, be created? Will this intelligence be autonomous and developing without the man? Will we create a new organism that can control the universe?
Or, will the Tech Break be the moment when the Universe rejects the human technology, bringing us back to a new Stone Age?
Will it be a moment of sudden and unmanageable development, or the breaking point with an unsustainable way to be human?
Would we need to take a break after the Tech Break?
Through Art we can suggest a new scenario, beyond the one we live today.
New world, new ways of living, new relationships between men, and between men and the technology.
We ask artists to present us their visions on the Tech Break; to show us the unexpected futures that await us after the Tech Break, and the premonitions about the world that will follow the one we live today: technology development, science evolution, human relationships.

Στο πλαίσιο του 14ου Διεθνούς Φεστιβάλ Ψηφιακών Τεχνών της Ελλάδας, Athens Digital Arts Festival, η Multitrab Productions διοργανώνει το ειδικό κινηματογραφικό αφιέρωμα: Η 8η Μέρα | Ο άνθρωπος δημιούργησε τη μηχανή.
“Την έβδομη ημέρα είχαν τελειώσει όλα τα έργα του θεού. Την ημέρα αυτή ο θεός αναπαύτηκε.”
Σε μια εποχή που η σχέση της τεχνολογίας και της επιστήμης με τη τέχνη συνεχώς ισχυροποιείται, οι τρεις αυτοί τομείς διαμορφώνουν τις εκφάνσεις της ανθρώπινης συμπεριφοράς και έκφρασης. Μέσω του παραπάνω τρίπτυχου, τέχνη-τεχνολογία-επιστήμη, ο άνθρωπος καταφέρνει όχι μόνο να εξηγήσει τον φυσικό κόσμο αλλά και να επαναπροσδιορίσει τις δυνατότητές του και να δημιουργήσει νέες, ψηφιακές πραγματικότητες.
Η τέχνη και καλλιτεχνική δημιουργία, με την βοήθεια των τεχνολογικών μέσων, χρησιμοποιούνται ως ο μεσάζων επικοινωνίας μεταξύ ασύλληπτων και δυσνόητων επιστημονικών ιδεών και ανθρώπου. Αποκτούν τον ρόλο του αρωγού της επιστήμης, της έρευνας και της καινοτομίας. Έτσι, το ευρύ κοινό, και ιδίως οι νέοι, έρχονται σε επαφή με την επιστήμη και τη τεχνολογία, καθίστανται κοινωνοί τους, ενσωματώνοντας τες βιωματικά και ενισχύοντας το ενδιαφέρον τους προς την εξερεύνηση και την εκπαίδευση.
Από την άλλη, καθώς η ανάπτυξη της επιστήμης και της τεχνολογίας αλλάζουν ολοκληρωτικά κάθε έκφανση της ζωής καθιστώντας τον άνθρωπο τον “πανίσχυρο δημιουργό”, η τέχνη και η φιλοσοφία έρχονται να αμφισβητήσουν, να θέσουν ερωτήματα και να ασκήσουν κριτική στον τρόπο διαχείρισης αυτής της δύναμης. Ο τεχνολογικά αναπτυγμένος κόσμος δεν είναι ένας επίγειος παράδεισος, αντίθετα μπορεί να ενέχει αρκετούς κινδύνους ακόμα και για τον ίδιο τον δημιουργό του, τον άνθρωπο.
Με στόχο, λοιπόν, την εξερεύνηση των ουτοπικών και των δυστοπικών απόψεων σχετικά με το μέλλον της τέχνης, της τεχνολογίας και της επιστήμης, η Multitrab Productions και το 14ο Athens Digital Arts Festival σας προσκαλούν σε ένα διήμερο προβολών με ελεύθερη είσοδο. Το πρόγραμμα του κινηματογραφικού αφιερώματοςπεριλαμβάνει πρώτες προβολές ταινιών, ντοκιμαντέρ και έργα video art.

In the framework of the 14th Athens Digital Arts Festival, Multitrab Productions organizes the special screening event: The 8th Day | Human Created Machine.

In our times, as the relation between technology, science and art is constantly strengthened, these three sectors shape the manifestations of human behavior and expression. Through the above mentioned triptych, art-technology-science, man manages not only to explain the physical world but also to redefine his potentials and create new, digital realities.
With the help of technology, art and artistic creation are used as the intermediaries of communication between inconceivable, complex scientific knowledge and humans. They promote research and innovation, especially to the young generation enhancing their interest in the exploration of new developments. Thus, the wider public comes in contact with science and technology, integrates them experientially and becomes more educated.
On the other hand, as the development of science and technology drastically changes all fields of life, making man a “powerful creator”, art and philosophy come to question and criticize the way this power is controlled and handled. The technologically advanced world is not a terrestrial paradise; on the contrary, it can pose several risks even for its own creator, man.
As a result, with the aim to explore both utopian and dystopian views on the future of art, technology and science, Multitrab Productions and the 14th Athens Digital Arts Festival invite you to a two-day event with screenings with free entrance. The program of the film tribute includes premieres of renown films, documentaries and video art.

Το “Back to the POSTFUTURE” είναι η νέα έκθεση του Zuecca Projects στο Spazio Ridotto στη Βενετία, ειδικά επιμελημένη από το ADAF – Athens Digital Art Festival και το Τhe PhotoPhore.
Τα εγκαίνια της έκθεσης είναι στις 19 Ιανουαρίου και θα διαρκέσει μέχρι τις 16 Φεβρουαρίου, 2018.
Το “Back to the POSTFUTURE” παρουσιάζει ειδικά επιλεγμένα έργα video art που αρχικά παρουσιάστηκαν στην 13η διοργάνωση του ADAF.

Στο πρώτο μέρος της έκθεσης, παρουσιάζονται οι καλλιτέχνες που επιλέχθηκαν από τους επιμελητές του ADAF, Έλλη-Άννα Περιστεράκη και Ειρήνη Ολυμπίου,
n the first part of the exhibition, the artists selected by ADAF curators Elli-Anna Peristeraki and Eirini Olympiou, «υπερβαίνουν» την ψηφιακή κουλτούρα και ανταλλάσσουν απόψεις με το θέμα #PostFuture.
Η φευγαλέα μετάβαση της ψηφιακής κουλτούρας διαμορφώνει ένα μέλλον «πέρα από το ψηφιακό», όπου το φυσικό και το ψηφιακό συγχωνεύονται. Στα τέλη της δεκαετίας του ’90, ο Negroponte δήλωσε ότι «η ψηφιακή επανάσταση έχει τελειώσει». Σχεδόν δύο δεκαετίες αργότερα και έχοντας αποδεχθεί ότι η ψηφιακή κουλτούρα έχει εγκαθιδρυθεί στην καθημερινότητά μας, προχωρούμε προς μια πιο αφηρημένη δημιουργία. Η αναγκαιότητα καινοτομίας και η υπέρβαση των ορίων επιβάλλεται από το συνεχώς εξελισσόμενο τεχνολογικό φετίχ.

Στο δεύτερο μέρος της έκθεσης, επιλεγμένα έργα από το The PhotoPhore, διερευνούν το θέμα #PostReality, εξερευνώντας τις άπειρες δυνατότητες που προσφέρει η πραγματικότητα. Τεχνολογία, δυστοπία, ουτοπία, παράλληλα σύμπαντα, όνειρα.
Η πραγματικότητα υπάρχει μόνο στο παρόν. Κάθε άνθρωπος ζει την πραγματικότητά του εδώ και τώρα. Η ύπαρξη είναι ο κύριος παράγοντας που τροποποιεί την πραγματικότητα και, ταυτόχρονα, σε έναν άτερμονο κύκλο, η μεταβολή διάφορων παραγόντων προκαλεί αλλαγές στην ίδια την ύπαρξη. Οι νέες τεχνολογίες που αφαιρούν τα όρια του χρόνου και του χώρου, οι επιστημονικές ανακαλύψεις, η απεριόριστη δύναμη της φαντασίας και οι ατελείωτες δυνατότητες των ενεργειών, ανοίγουν συνεχώς νέα σενάρια.

“Back to the POSTFUTURE” is the new exhibition organized by the Venetian organization Zuecca Projects at Spazio Ridotto, Venice, and curated by ADAF – Athens Digital Art Festival and the PhotoPhore.
The opening is on January 19, and the show will run until February 16, 2018.
“Back to the POSTFUTURE” presents a selection of the video artworks initially included in the 13th edition of the Athens international festival of digital art, ADAF.

In the first part of the exhibition, the artists selected by ADAF curators Elli-Anna Peristeraki and Eirini Olympiou, ‘transcend’ the digital culture and exchange opinions under the theme #PostFuture.
The elusive transition of digital culture is shaping a future ‘beyond digital‘, where the physical and the digital are merging. In the late 90’s Negroponte stated that “the digital revolution is over“. Almost two decades later and having accepted that the digital culture has been stabilized into our everydayness, we are moving forward to a more abstract creation. The necessity of innovation and excess of limits has been a primary goal imposed by the ever-evolving technological fetish.

In the second part of the show, a selection of the originally-programmed films presented by The PhotoPhore, explores the theme #PostReality, investigating the infinite possibilities that reality offers to overcome itself. Technology, dystopia, utopia, parallel universes, dreams.

Theo-Mass Lexileictous (CY)
Έχει περάσει ήδη πάνω από μια δεκαετία όταν ο Νικόλας Νεγρεπόντης, ακαδημαϊκός και επιστήμονας υπολογιστών (ιδρυτής και επίτιμος πρόεδρος του MIT Media Lab), δήλωσε ό,τι «η ψηφιακή επανάσταση έχει πλέον τελειώσει» και όταν ο Kim Cascone, ένας Αμερικάνος συνθέτης ηλεκτρονικής μουσικής, εισήγαγε τη λέξη μετα-ψηφιακό μέσα από το βιβλίο του «The Aesthetics of Failure: “Post-digital” Tendencies in Contemporary Computer Music in 2000». Ο 21ος αιώνας καλωσόρισε πολλούς ακόμα ακαδημαϊκούς, καλλιτέχνες και θεωρητικούς οι οποίοι ασχολήθηκαν με το θέμα του μετα-ψηφιακού, ένας από τους πιο πρόσφατους είναι ο Mel Alexenberg, καλλιτέχνης και εκπαιδευτικός, ο οποίος δημοσίευσε το 2011 το βιβλίο του με τίτλο «The Future of Art in a Postdigital Age», προσφέροντας πληροφορίες για τις νέες μορφές τέχνης που προκύπτουν από την μετα-ψηφιακή εποχή για να τοποθετήσει αυτό που ονομάζει «εξανθρωπισμός των ψηφιακών τεχνολογιών». Το 2012, ο καλλιτέχνης Theo-Mass Lexileictous δημοσίευσε, για πρώτη φορά, την ανησυχία του για το #postdigitalism σε μια συνέντευξή του στο Dazed Digital πριν γράψει το #postdigitalismmanifesto του, το οποίο εξέθεσε στην Πινακοθήκη P3Studio του Λας Βέγκας. Η έκθεση #POSTDIGITALISM τον Μάιο του 2012 στην γκαλερί Morfi, στη Λεμεσό της Κύπρου, αντιπροσώπευσε την επίσημη διακήρυξη του καλλιτέχνη σχετικά με την ιδέα και το όραμά του αναφορικά με το #postdigitalism.
Για τον Theo-Mass Lexileictous, το #postdigitalism αναφέρεται πρωτίστως στην εξερεύνηση νέων οδών που ασχολούνται με την εξαγωγή του ψηφιακού στο φυσικό, το αποτέλεσμα του οποίου έχει ως στόχο τη δημιουργία υβριδικών έργων τέχνης. Ήδη από το 2012, το #postdigitalism είναι ένας όρος που απαρτίζεται απαραίτητα από την τοποθέτηση του συμβόλου της δίεσις (#) μπροστά από τη λέξη, προκειμένου να αναγνωριστεί ως τμήμα της γλώσσας αυτής της δεκαετίας και να υπογραμμίσει την εμφάνιση μιας υβριδικής γλώσσας εμφανής πλέον στην καθημερινή μας επικοινωνία, παρούσα σε όλους τους τύπους μέσων επικοινωνίας.
Εξερευνώντας δημιουργικά την έννοια του #postdigitalism μέσα στην τέχνη και τη γλώσσα, σύμφωνα με τον Theo- Mass Lexilectous αποτελείται από:
#POSTDIGITAL ARTWORKS (ΕΡΓΑ ΤΕΧΝΗΣ): #hybridartworks and #postdigitalistobjects
#POSTDIGITAL LANGUAGE (ΓΛΩΣΣΑ): #postdigitalistautomaticwriting and #hybridlanguage
Το κεφάλαιο του #postdigitalism στη δουλειά του Theo-Mass Lexileictous, δεν είναι απλά ακόμα ένα επισόδειο, αλλά μια αυτόνομη, ώριμη και εις βάθος έρευνα σχετικά με τα θέματα που πλαισιώνουν την σύγχρονη τέχνη και κουλτούρα. Όσο παράδοξο και αν μπορεί να φανεί, η τελευταία έρευνα του Theo-Mass Lexileictous υποθέτει ό,τι η έννοια του #postdigitalism είναι σχετική με το σουρεαλισμό, το μεταπολεμικό ευρωπαϊκό καλλιτεχνικό κίνημα της δεκαετίας του ’40. Παρατηρώντας τον τρόπο με τον οποίο χρησιμοποιούμε τη γλώσσα στα κοινωνικά δίκτυα, το #postdigitalistautomaticwriting δημιουργήθηκε από τον Theo-Mass Lexileictous ως μια αναφορά στη σουρεαλιστική αυτόματη γραφή. Ο τρόπος με τον οποίο επικοινωνούν οι άνθρωποι σήμερα -η χρήση των hashtags, οι τυχαίες λέξεις, κατακερματισμένων φράσεων και προτάσεων- είναι αυτό που αρχικά ώθησε τον Theo-Mass Lexileictous στο να εξετάσει την σουρεαλιστική πρακτική της αυτόματης γραφής. Σκοπός τους ήταν η αυθόρμητη γραπτή προσωπική έκφραση χωρίς το φιλτράρισμα των σκέψεών τους, σε μια προσπάθεια να επιτύχουν μια αυτόματη απάντηση, η οποία θεωρούσαν ότι θα μπορούσε να συσχετιστεί με το ασυνείδητό τους. Παρόλα αυτά ο αυτοματισμός στην ιδέα του Theo-Mass #postdigitalistautomaticwriting εκφράζει τους τρόπους μέσα από τους οποίους οι χρήσετς μπορούν αυτόματα να εισάγουν εικονικά θεματικά αρχεία απλά ακολουθώντας τη λέξη με τη δίεση (#). Σύμφωνα με τον καλλιτέχνη, η ιδέα του #postdigitalistautomaticwriting, είναι υποθετική μόνο σε μορφή τυπωμένου κειμένου. Η ίδια αρχή ισχύει για όλες τις #postdigitalist τέχνες και γλωσσικές πρακτικές, αφού #postdigital είναι κατανοητό για οτιδήποτε εξάγεται από τον ψηφιακό κόσμο στο φυσικό.

Theo-Mass Lexileictous (CY)
It was over a decade ago when Nicholas Negroponte, academic and computer scientist (founder and Chairman Emeritus of MIT Media Lab), declared that “the digital revolution is over” and when Kim Cascone, an American composer of electronic music, ushered in the word post-digital in his book “The Aesthetics of Failure: “Post-digital” Tendencies in Contemporary Computer Music in 2000”. The 21st century welcomed so many other academics, artists and theorists who elaborated on the post-digitalism issue, one of the most recent being Mel Alexenberg, artist and educator, who published his book in 2011 “The Future of Art in a Postdigital Age” offering insight into new art forms emerging from a postdigital age to address what he calls “the humanization of digital technologies”. In 2012, artist Theo-Mass Lexileictous publicly revealed, for the very first time, his preoccupation with #postdigitalism in an interview with Dazed Digital before writing his #postdigitalismmanifesto, launched at the P3Studio Gallery in Las Vegas. The exhibition #POSTDIGITALISM in May 2012 at Morfi Gallery, Limassol, Cyprus represented the artist’s official declaration of #postdigitalism concept and vision.
For Theo-Mass Lexileictous, #postdigitalism primarily refers to the exploration of new avenues dealing with the extraction of the digital into the physical, the result of which aims to create hybrid artworks. Coined in 2012, #postdigitalism is a term necessarily preceded by a hash mark (#) in order to be identified as part of this decade’s language formation and highlight the emergence of a hybrid language evident in our everyday communication, present in all types of media.
A creative exploration into art and language, the #postdigitalism notion according to Theo- Mass Lexileictous consists of:

The #postdigitalism chapter in Theo-Mass Lexileictous’ work is not just another episode, but an autonomous, in-depth and mature investigation into the issues surrounding contemporary art and culture. Paradoxical as it may seem, Theo-Mass Lexileictous’ latest research assumes that #postdigitalism is related to Surrealism, the 1940’s post-war European artistic movement.
Observing the way we use language in social media networks, #postdigitalistautomaticwriting was coined by Theo-Mass Lexileictous to refer to the surrealist automatic writing. The way in which people communicate today – the use of hashtags, random words, fragmented phrases and sentences – is what initially prompted Theo-Mass Lexileictous to look at the Surrealists’ practice of automatic writing. Their objective was to express themselves in writing without filtering their thoughts, but rather to achieve an automatic response to writing, which they thought could be associated with their unconscious. However, automatism in Theo-Mass’s #postdigitalistautomaticwriting concept addresses the ways through which users can automatically enter themed image archives by following the word preceded by the hash mark (#). The concept of #postdigitalistautomaticwriting, according to the artist, is assumed solely in the form of printed text. The same principle applies to all #postdigitalist art and language practices since #postdigital is understood as whatever is extracted from the digital world into the physical.
The definition of #hybridlanguage involves all the aforementioned, only in this case the word or phrase preceded by the hash mark (#) is used within consistent sentences. An example would be the sentence, “The #postdigitalism issue will be released in early December”. In #postdigitalistautomaticwriting, this would be“#postdigitalism @theomass #newspaper #theomasstimes #lexileictous #selfie #december #issue6”.
#postdigitalistobjects are created following the same rationale in an attempt to explore the same concept and philosophy. Practically explained, #postdigitalistobjects are three dimensional artworks/sculptures. A good example would be a 3D object created on 3D software and consequently materialized with a 3D printer. Objects that bear #postdigitalistautomaticwriting, #hybridlanguage or any type of digital language conventions are also included in the range of #postdigitalistobjects since the information they carry renders them #postdigital. For example, a magazine that bears the inscription #thesexissue; within the context of #postdigitalism, it is no longer just a magazine, it is a #postdigitalistobject.
His 2D artworks aim to explore and question the outcome that results from the cross between the abstractness of the digital world and the substantiality of physical existence. What occurs in their intersection causes the artist’s fixation on the notion of hybridity. Commonly defined as the composition of heterogeneous elements, the meaning of hybrid is put forward to denote exactly that: the merging of two distinct realities and the effect they provoke when juxtaposed. For example, Theo-Mass Lexileictous’ latest painting displays a white-grey checkered pattern in order to represent what we perceive/understand as a transparent background in the digital language, on which a caption in black reads #thisisnotatransparentbackground. A pure hybrid as he describes it, the #thisisnotatransparentbackground painting is, according to Theo-Mass Lexileictous, the best example of his #postdigitalist 2D artworks’ theory. Referencing Magritte’s iconic painting “Ceci n’est pas une pipe”, #thisisnotatransparentbackground is created to challenge the viewer’s perception by posing the following question: how do we perceive the outcome that results from the intersection between these two worlds?
Within the discourse of Postdigitalism throughout the last decade, one notices the emergence of several linguistic variations of the same word. The Post-digital for Cascone became postdigital for Alexenberg and #postdigitalism for Theo-Mass Lexileictous. What ties them all together though, is the fact that the terms post-digital, postdigital, and #postdigitalism refer specifically to artistic practices and most importantly bear questions, thus fulfilling the primary purpose of art. What is Postdigitalism in art? Which artworks belong under the umbrella of Postdigitalism? When did the postdigitalism notion begin? Theo-Mass Lexileictous ventures on a journey of creative research in an attempt to explore his definition of #postdigitalism and the yet unknown potentials of uniting the digital world with physical existence with the objective that these outcomes will ultimately configure new avenues for the future of art.
Η Multitrab Productions παρουσίασε την εκδήλωση “Spread The Future” στον Διεθνή Αερολιμένα Αθηνών «Ελευθέριος Βενιζέλος» – επίπεδο αφίξεων.
Στις 22 και 23 Ιουλίου πραγματοποιήθηκε η ενέργεια “Spread The Future”, στην οποία το κοινό που επισκέφθηκε την Ελλάδα βίωσε μια συναρπαστική εμπειρία και ήρθε σε επαφή με τον ψηφιακό πολιτισμό, συμμετέχοντας ενεργά σε μια πολυμεσική και φουτουριστική εκδήλωση, στον Διεθνή Αερολιμένα Αθηνών – «Ελευθέριος Βενιζέλος».
Συγκεκριμένα, οι επισκέπτες της χώρας μας είχαν τη δυνατότητα να ταξιδέψουν στο μετά-μέλλον, αλληλεπιδρώντας με τα διαδραστικά έργα της έκθεσης του Διεθνούς Φεστιβάλ Ψηφιακών Τεχνών της Ελλάδας, Athens Digital Arts Festival | #PostFutureJourney. Επιπλέον, το Σάββατο 22 και την Κυριακή 23 Ιουλίου από τις 10:00 – 12:00 π.μ., το κοινό βίωσε στον χώρο της εκδήλωσης ζωντανά την εμπειρία της επαυξημένης πραγματικότητας AR+ μέσα από την διαδραστική εγκατάσταση “Reality Book” (έργο 45 καλλιτεχνών) στην οποία ξεφύλλισε ένα βιβλίο το οποίο ζωντάνευε στα χέρια του με tablets και smart phones που διέθεσαν ειδικά για την εκδήλωση.
Παράλληλα, η διοργάνωση εξέμπεμπε ζωντανά και τις δύο μέρες μέσω του Αθηναϊκού-Μακεδονικού Πρακτορείου Ειδήσεων (ΑΠΕ – ΜΠΕ) στην ραδιοφωνική εκπομπή Η Τεχνολογία Σήμερα και οι συντελεστές συνομιλούσαν με το κοινό καταγράφοντας την ξεχωσριστή αυτή εμπειρία. Επισκέπτες από όλο τον κόσμο που περνούσαν από το επίπεδο αφίξεων του αεροδρομίου ταξίδεψαν στο μέλλον και μοιράστηκαν τις εντυπώσεις τους ζωντανά με το υπόλοιπο κοινό!

Multitrab Productions presented the event “Spread The Future” at the International Airport of Athens Greece “Eleftherios Venizelos”- arrivals level.
On 22 and 23 July, the event “Spread The Future” took place at Athens International Airport – “Eleftherios Venizelos”. The audience visiting Greece participated in an exciting experience and came in contact with digital culture by engaging actively in a multimedia and futuristic event.
Specifically, the visitors of Greece had the opportunity to travel to the PostFuture, while interacting with the artworks of the exhibition offered by the Athens Digital Arts Festival | #PostFutureJourney. Moreover, on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd of July, from 10:00 – 12:00 a.m., the audience was able to experience at the exhibition space, live, augmented reality AR+ thought the interactive installation “Reality Book” (work of 45 artists). For this experience, the public could shuffle through a book which becomes alive by the use of tablets and smart phones specially provided for the purposes of the event.
Simultaneously, the event was broadcasted live through the Athens News Agency – Macedonian Press Agency (ANA-MPA) while the organisers were talking to the public recording its experience. Visitors from all over the world that were passing by the airport travelled to the future and share their impressions live with the audience!

To 13ο Διεθνές Φεστιβάλ Ψηφιακών Τεχνών της Ελλάδας- Athens Digital Arts Festival (από 18 έως 21 Μαΐου 2017) ανακοινώνει το κάλεσμα συμμετοχής του για το 2017 και σε καλεί να κοιτάξεις μαζί μας προς το “μετα-μέλλον”.
Στα τέλη της δεκαετίας του ‘90 ο Negroponte δήλωσε ότι «η ψηφιακή επανάσταση έχει τελειώσει». Σχεδόν δύο δεκαετίες αργότερα και έχοντας δεχθεί την παγίωση της ψηφιακής κουλτούρας στην καθημερινότητας μας, προχωράμε σε πιο αφηρημένες δημιουργίες.
Ο νέος φουτουριστικός τρόπος ζωής αντικατοπτρίζεται από τη σύγκλιση των ορίων μεταξύ «αληθινού» και «εικονικού» σε ένα ακριβές αντίγραφο του φυσικού κόσμου σε ψηφιακή διάσταση. Εκεί, όλα μετρώνται σε ψηφία και είναι επομένως απλουστευμένα και διαφανή. Είναι όμως αυτό η «πραγματική» εξέλιξη;
Διερευνώντας αυτό το θολό μέλλον, καλούμε τους καλλιτέχνες να υπερβούν την ψηφιακή κουλτούρα και να ανταλλάξουν απόψεις υπό το θέμα #PostFuture.
Η προθεσμία υποβολής των προτάσεων λήγει στις 31.01.2017.
Παράλληλα, στόχος μας σε αυτή την ενδιαφέρουσα και ζωντανή συζήτησηείναι να συμμετάσχουν όλοι που έχουν την ίδια περιέργεια με εμάς για την ζωή μας στο “μετα-μέλλον”.

In the late 90’s Negroponte stated that “the digital revolution is over”. Almost two decades later and having accepted that the digital culture has been stabilized into our everydayness, we are moving forward to a most abstract creation.
This new futuristic lifestyle is reflected from the coherence of the ‘real – virtual’ boundaries into a replica of the physical world where everything is countable in digits, therefore simplified and transparent. Yet is post digital the real progress?
Exploring this blurry future, we invite artists to ‘transcend’ digital culture and exchange opinions under the theme #PostFuture. The deadline for the submissions is 31.01.2017 .
At the same time, our goal is to involve in this interesting and lively conversation all that share the same curiosity with us about our lives in the #PostFuture.
The interaction with a constantly increasing part of the active residents – and visitors – of the city is a primary desire and direction of this year’s Athens Digital Arts Festival. We are now moving into a new, more open and interactive relationship with our audience.
