ARThropods
- Thu 2419:30-20:30
A collection of 18 short stories about meetings between humans and insects. The movie describes an escalation from everyday situations that involve insects to a strange reality of living in harmony with them. The movie ends with a museum scene. Many people are gathering around a piece of art looking very curious and interested. Then, a tiny harmless spider descending from the ceiling scares everyone away in spite of the fact they are all observing a piece of art that features insects.
Insects are an integral and influential part of our culture as illustrated by their infiltration to our language, arts, history, philosophy, and religion. However, as human society has become progressively more urbanized, insects have become progressively more estranged.
